We are a “Boutique” charter boat for individuals, not crowds…for those of us who enjoy the quiet luxury of beautiful surroundings, excellent food and good company.
THE YACHT
The Grande Horizontale is a small motor yacht, large enough for comfort, speed, and privacy but small enough to be manned by just the personable yet discreet Captain. This leaves you the leisure to enjoy the boat as if it were your own.
The yacht is fast and fun on the outdoor flybridge, bow, and stern, whereas it has a cool and elegant classic interior, with air-conditioned cabins (while in the Marina,) salon, kitchen and bathrooms.

The Experiences
We aim at leaving you as much freedom as possible within nautical constraints, including flexible durations, departure times and destinations within Maltese waters. Here are a few of our basic offers and ideas, but feel free to embellish according to what kind of Day Trip, Evening Trip or Multi-Day trip you have in mind!
DURATION and ALL-INCLUSIVE, DIRECT-BOOKING PRICES (including Basic rental, Skipper, Fuel based on 30nm of navigation, taxes & VAT:) Starting this season, our chef will be providing delicious light Mediterranean finger food throughout the cruise at no additional cost.
- BASIC HALF-DAY CRUISE: €750
- ADD HOURS: add as many hours as you like for €200 per hour
- 8-HOUR SPECIAL RATE CRUISE: €1350. That is a €200 discount compared to the hourly rate.
All cruises include soft drinks, light Mediterranean refreshments, snorkelling equipment, WiFi, Sound system with Spotify (as long as it is not audible to other boats,) internet TV, extra towels, bed linens and GoPro camera souvenir footage should you desire it.
CAPACITY:
Although we are licenced for up to 11 guests plus Skipper, we prefer to keep it to 8 guests in order to insure maximum comfort.
CATERING:
Although you are welcome to bring your own pre-cooked food and beverages or book a table at one of the mooring spots, our chef will be providing delicious light Mediterranean finger food throughout the cruise, as well as soft drinks, water and a bottle of quality Prosecco for your trip at no additional cost.
As a courtesy, if ordered 48 hours before departure, we can also arrange Fine Dining meals to heighten your experience all the more. The combination of excellent food with the beauty of the sea is pure magic.

THEMES:
As much as we love celebrations, our vocation is not as a raucous party boat. On the contrary, we would rather take you to some of Malta’s most beautiful and exclusive coves and bays, far from the chaos of mass-tourism hotspots.
- BEAUTY SPOT CRUISES: Visit some of the most beautiful places in Malta, many of which are only accessible by boat.
- CHILL, SWIM and DINE: Swimming, sunning, dining and snorkelling in Malta’s idyllic bays.
- HARBOUR TOURS: Malta’s stunning harbours are brimming with history. Your Captain will be delighted to elucidate in positively exasperating detail if you so wish, or leave you to absorb the atmosphere on your own if you prefer.
- RESTAURANT LUNCH IN GOZO or NORTHERN MALTA: Book a restaurant and mooring in Gozo and enjoy the excellent Gozitan cuisine. Arrive in style, the boat will be waiting for you. Conversely, meals may be delivered directly to the boat before departure, or while at anchor in Mellieha Bay.
- SUNSET DINNER: There’s nothing like Magic Hour in Malta when the sun sets, the sea shimmers and the limestone glows…drop anchor and enjoy a refined, freshly prepared dinner.
- SCUBA DIVES: Advanced Open Water Diver PADI Certified, so we are sensitive to the idiosyncrasies of scuba diving. Bring your equipment and/or instructor and explore the depths without the crowds.
- SPECIAL OCCASION CRUISE: Birthdays, anniversaries and honeymoons are all better at sea.
- LGBT HOTSPOTS: We’re a gay-owned and operated, hetero-friendly Charter yacht, so be yourself with whomever you like, with no worries of embarrassed or disapproving glances from the crew.
- MALTA and GOZO CIRCUMNAVIGATION: Why see just part of the island when you can see all of it? (Fuel surplus fees may apply.)
- CHAOS and PINEAPPLES: Comino’s Blue Lagoon in high season is basically a crowded, floating nightclub, but fun if you’re in the mood! Please be aware that the Grande Horizontale can not usually anchor safely in Blue Lagoon until late September, when it reverts back to being a beautifully serene bay. We will of course be pleased to take you there to see for yourself, but without anchoring.
- Brunch with Sunday in Scotland, Malta’s foremost chocolatier/patissier. Let them provide you with an absolutely top notch selection of sweet and savoury delights for an elegant brunch at sea.
- WINE and CHEESE TASTINGS, MUSICAL EVENINGS, or LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN WILD: The sky (or rather the horizon) is the limit!

Upon booking, you will be sent payment information for the 50% booking deposit (applicable to the charter price) which may be refunded up to two weeks before the departure date should you need to cancel your booking.
